The Conference Hotel

The Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston’s historic Back Bay provides indoor access to the Hynes Convention Center, the Prudential and Copley Place malls, and even a subway station. Hotel guests have complimentary use of a sundeck, sauna, and 18-meter swimming pool with retractable roof; the hotel also offers a fitness area and a business center. With the easy indoor access between the hotal and the Hynes Convention Center meeting rooms and Exhibit Hall, you can slip back to your room for a few moments to rest, deposit your many purchases from the Exhibit Hall, and be close-by to other conference activities. Staying in the conference hotel means that at the end of an exciting conference day, you won’t have a long ride or walk to your home or other hotel. One of my favorite parts of genealogy conferences is the opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones, and talk about the new research methods and resources you learned during the day. The hotel elevators, restaurants, and lobby are great places for impromptu gatherings of genealogists.

The hotel cost of $159.00 for a single or double room was negotiated some time ago and is a cost most other types of conventions held in Boston have not been able to negotiate for their registrants.
